Safe grids templates are defined by arbitrary named XML files located in the
safe_grids sub-directory of the system directory, the application directory and/or the user's application preferences directory. Each file in these sub-directories defines a single safe grid template. Note that a safe grid template file only defines the aspect ratio of safe grid, other factors, such as colour and transparency, are common to all safe grid templates and so can not be defined in these files.
PFClean installs a default set of safe grid template files in the
safe_grids sub-directory of the application directory which can be used as a starting point for customisation. A sample safe grid template file is given below:
<safeGridTemplate> <name>Custom</name> <cropRatio>1.5:1</cropRatio> </safeGridTemplate>
A safe grid template must contain a
<name> field, which is the name presented in the application, and a
<cropRatio> field to define the aspect ratio of the safe grid which is width:height.
