Frame Range and ROI
The ROI button in the Effect Stack Manager brings up the Frame Range and ROI controls:
The frame range and region of interest (ROI) affect the number of frames and region of interest that contains image data that requires processing by PFClean. The frame range and ROI can be set for the base clip, which will affect all effects in the stack, as well as for individual effects.
Changing the In and Out values will limit all effects so that they are only applied to frames within the in/out range. Pressing the In or Out button will set either the in or out point to the current frame. The reset buttons will reset the in/out points to their default value, which corresponds to processing the entire clip.
The region of interest (ROI) is displayed in the Cinema. This specifies which pixels in each frame will be processed by each effect. Click and drag the edges of centre of the ROI with the left mouse button to change its position. You could also use the Top %, Bottom %, Left % or Right % slider to adjust the ROI.
ROIs can be stored in presets and re-used in other clips. To store a ROI preset click the Store button below the Presets palette. Selecting a ROI preset in the palette and clicking Recall will apply the stored ROI to the current clip.
