Please note: Managing entitlements may require that you are logged into PFManager as Account Administrator. Users may be able to manage entitlements if the Entitlement management setting is selected in the Preferences.
Managing entitlements on the machine
The Entitlements tab shows all the current product entitlements owned by the account that are available for managing in PFManager. The Action column lists available actions for each entitlement.
The product this entitlement is for.
The type of the entitlement. Entitlements can be Permanent or time limited.
Entitlements with a ✓ in their Availability column can be managed from the current host; they are either assigned to this host or not assigned to any host. Entitlements with a X in their Availability column cannot be managed from the current host, as they are assigned to another machine. Clicking the ⓘ reveals the machine name an entitlement has been assigned to and when an entitlement will expire, if the entitlement is time limited (e.g. a rental entitlement). If an entitlement token has been lost (e.g. after the hard disk has been wiped), or a time limited entitlement is about to expire, a ⚠ will be displayed next to the entitlement.
The Action column list the possible actions for each entitlement. These can be:
N/A: No action possible. It is not possible to act on an entitlement when
- it is already assigned to another host;
- an entitlement for the same product has been assigned to this host.
Assign: Assign the entitlement to this host. Please note that no two valid entitlements for the same product can be assigned to the same host.
Release: Release the entitlement from this host so it may be assigned to another machine.
Recover: Recover an entitlement that has been assigned to this host, but is lost (e.g. after a disk wipe).
