GPU Manager
The GPU Manager provides an overview and controls for what graphics cards are used for different aspects of PFTrack.
The graphics cards configured for background processing are shown with a ✔ in the Process column.
The graphics card used for display and foreground processing is shown with a ✔ in the Display column.
The information panel (1) reveals more detailed information about each graphics card and lets you choose if the card should be used for processing.
Background Processing
Many nodes in PFTrack that perform time consuming tasks can be run in background threads that do not lock the main user interface from other work. Please see here for further details.
For nodes that use a lot of GPU processing (for example, the Z-Depth solvers, and the Photo Cloud node), running in the background on a second GPU will mean your display card is free to render the main UI and Cinema window whilst the background process is running.
If there is only a single graphics card in the machine then this card will be used for both foreground and background processing, leading to potential performance issues. For optimal performance install dual graphics card and use the second one for background processing.
