Restarting PFBucketd
Once the PFBucketd server daemon has been installed it should start automatically, and restart after every machine reboot.
In situations where any of the network configuration parameters are changed, or you need to restart the server daemon manually to address any issues, it can be restarted as follows:
Linux (Centos 7)
On Linux, PFBucketd runs as a standard system service, and can be managed using the commands below, which must all be executed as root.
To stop the service on Linux type:
systemctl stop pfbucketd
You can start the service again by typing:
systemctl start pfbucketd
During installation, a chkconfig is created so you can enable and disable the service by typing:
/sbin/chkconfig pfbucketd {on|off}
Extra configuration options can be found in the file:
/etc/sysconfig/pfbucketd
macOS 10.13+
On macOS, PFBucketd runs as a LaunchDaemon, and control is managed via the system launchctl command. To stop the daemon from running, you should use the following command from a Terminal window:
sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/uk.co.thepixelfarm.pfbucketd.plist
To restart the PFBucketd server daemon you should use the following command from a Terminal window:
sudo launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/uk.co.thepixelfarm.pfbucketd.plist
The above commands only change the temporary status of the PFBucketd server daemon; upon reboot, it will start automatically.
Windows 10
On Windows 10, you can start and stop PFBucketd using the system services menu:
