How are the calculations performed?
Scene cut detection, rendering and exporting can be time consuming processes. A percentage completion figure is written to the terminal to indicate overall progress.
All calculations are performed by submitting a job through PFClean's distributed processing facility. This may need to be configured depending on the setup - see the Processing Guide for more information. If processing fails for some reason then also consult the Common errors chapter of the Processing guide for help on finding out what went wrong if the error message is not self explanatory.
There are 2 extra commands related to job processing, these are:
-keep_job
-no_wait
The first prevents the job being automatically removed from the processing system so that, for example, logs and run times can be viewed or more information obtained if a job failed for some reason. (It is then the users responsibility to remove the job to prevent clogging up the processing system). The second command causes PFClean to immediately return not waiting for the results of the calculation.
