Export commands
Export commands
There are 2 commands relating to export:
-export CLIP_IDENTIFIER
-export_params CLIP_IDENTIFIER /full/path/to/params.xml
The default for export is to overwrite the original image sequence. To have a different behaviour an XML parameters file can be specified. A couple of example parameter files are given below:
<export>
<filename>/new/path/to/footage/filename.ext</filename>
</export>
uses a new filename for export. The frame numbering scheme is taken from the image sequence. If the export directory does not already exist, it will be created.
If you are exporting multiple clips then no single filename will suffice, in which case you can use:
<export>
<directory>/new/path/to</directory>
</export>
to specify a new directory path but maintain the original filename of the clip.
The export root and template, which are described elsewhere, maybe set using:
<export>
<root>/path/to</root>
<template>%f/%c.%e</template>
</export>
To export using a different format (with appropriate filename extension) use something like:
<export>
<format>JPG</format>
<bitdepth>8</bitdepth>
</export>
Note that the export format bit-depth typically needs to be specified.
For more advanced export control you can specify the name of an export list to use:
<export>
<list>Export List 1</list>
</export>
or an export list itself can be specified:
<export>
<exportClipList>
...
</exportClipList>
</export>
The easiest way to create such a parameters file is to create an export list in a project and then copy that project's exportLists.xml
file.
QuickTime
On supported operating systems a QuickTime movie can be exported using:
<export>
<format>MOV</format>
<quicktimeCodec>Cinepak</quicktimeCodec>
<quicktimeQuality>normal</quicktimeQuality>
</export>
The names of available codecs are listed in the File Out panel when running PFClean with a GUI. QuickTime quality can be minimum
,
low
, normal
, high
, maximum
, or lossless
.
