User-attributes
The user-attributes file must be called userAttributes.xml
and can be located in the system directory, and/or the user's application preferences directory. If more than one userAttributes.xml
file is present then the contents of each are concatenated A sample user-attributes file is given below:
<userAttributes>
<userAttribute>
<name>Draft</name>
<default>true</default>
</userAttribute>
<userAttribute>
<name>In progress</name>
</userAttribute>
<userAttribute>
<name>In review</name>
<red>0</red>
<green>128</green>
<blue>255</blue>
<outlineRed>255</outlineRed>
<outlineGreen>255</outlineGreen>
<outlineBlue>255</outlineBlue>
</userAttribute>
<userAttribute>
<name>Approved</name>
</userAttribute>
</userAttributes>
Each user attribute must contain at least a <name>
field. Optionally one, and only one, of the attributes can be defined as being the default attribute by setting the <default>
field to <true>
. This is the attribute a clip will have when it is imported into the application. If no attribute is defined as being the default then the first attribute takes this role. Optionally, two colours - fill and outline - maybe defined for each attribute which the Media Bins uses to display clips which are set to that attribute in order to make such clips stand out (see screen-shot below). The fill colour is defined by the <red>
, <green>
and <blue>
fields; while the outline colour is defined by <outlineRed>
, <outlineGreen>
and <outlineBlue>
fields.
