Configuration Files
Certain aspects of PFClean can be customised, extended and controlled through the use of user-written files. An example of such is the format standards - PFClean ships with a default set of these which cover all common standards however, the user can extend this set if they wish to include customised values. This is achieved by the user writing an XML based file which defines the custom format standard they wish to use. Such a file needs to be correctly named, correctly located and of the correct syntax in order for the application to read and process its contents upon startup. This chapter describes how to define these files.
Some of the files can be located in different directories depending upon whether the customisation should apply to all Pixel Farm products and users or just one user running PFClean. These directories are called, respectively:
The system directory, which is /Applications/The Pixel Farm/
The user's application preferences directory, which is /Users/USERNAME/Documents/The Pixel Farm/PFClean/
